My recovery process started on September 3rd, 2020. Jail, Rehab, Pre-trial, Jail, Rehab, Jail, Bracelet, Jail, rehab and sober living, all in that order.

My story isn’t unique by any stretch of the imagination, and I got away with more than I got in trouble for, absolutely, so it’s no mystery; of course, my life got better when I stopped using.

Today I get to say the world of recovery has given me the life I felt like I never deserved. I’ve gone skydiving, traveled the country, had children, and got off probation, but most importantly, I gained a sense of self-worth and connection with like-minded individuals who have the same goal in mind.

Although as much as I wish I could say I did this myself, I didn’t. Everyone I’ve met throughout my journey, whether in the Reverence House, rehabilitation institutions or in the halls, has been a huge part of my success story in recovery thus far.
